Product Info

AeroShell Grease 7 is a multi-purpose synthetic grease for aircraft, with good load carrying ability over a wide temperature range. It is recommended for highly loaded gears, actuator screw mechanisms, and instrument and general airframe lubrication. Shell states it meets nearly all the airframe grease requirements of turbine engine aircraft, and those of piston engine aircraft where seal incompatibility does not occur.

  • Inhibited against corrosion and fortified to resist oxidation
  • Typical water washout at 38°C: 6% (ASTM D1264)
  • Typical low temperature torque at -73°C: 0.23 Nm start, 0.03 Nm run (ASTM D1478)
  • Contains a synthetic ester oil, so do not use it in contact with incompatible seal materials
  • Clay-based grease, not to be mixed with soap-based greases approved to MIL-PRF-23827C Type I
