Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless, and tasteless gas that can quickly incapacitate a pilot, even in small amounts. Since many powered aircraft are not equipped with a reliable CO detector—or lack a clear replacement date—the Design4Pilots Pilot Controller Kit® provides a simple and effective personal solution.

The heart of the system is the Pilot Controller detector, which changes colour in the presence of carbon monoxide. Each detector should be replaced every 12 months. To make tracking easy, the detector is placed inside the Controller holder, which doubles as a date reminder: adjustable hands let you record the month and day you first activated the detector.

The controller holder securely attaches to any of our Design4Pilots Kneeboards with a stopwatch fixture, keeping the detector visible and accessible throughout flight. Compact, practical, and safety-focused, this kit is an indispensable cockpit companion.
