BAe (British Aerospace) Harrier GR Mk.3 is a Royal Air Force V / STOL attack aircraft.

V / STOL stands for Vertical / Short Takeoff and Landing and is an aircraft capable of vertical or short range takeoff and landing.

The Harrier GR Mk.3 has a higher engine output than the initial GR Mk.1 and has a laser range-finding target indicator on the nose (using laser reflection to accurately determine the distance and position to the target. It is equipped with a device that measures and displays it in the cockpit) to improve attack accuracy.

Since the Harrier is a V / STOL aircraft, it is possible to operate from a front base that does not require a long runway and has no support equipment.
