The SlickSTART SS1001 is a solid state magneto start booster for Slick magnetos. It delivers up to 340% more spark energy during engine start than conventional impulse coupled or retard breaker systems, helping fire partially fouled spark plugs and ignite less than optimum fuel mixtures. It is designed to replace Bendix/TCM starting vibrators used with Slick magnetos and is also approved for Slick impulse coupled magnetos.
- Do not install with TCM/Bendix magnetos (the Bendix version is SS1002)
- Mounting hole diameters and spacing match typical starting vibrators
- Not compatible with electronic tachometers that use a magneto pickup; relocate the sensor to the right hand magneto
- Requires no maintenance
