    Produktinfo

    Fifty 1/8" cleco fasteners, ten side grip clamps, eight butt welding clamps and the pliers that drive the fasteners and the side grips. The full set for a panel shop or a restoration, holding sheet metal by the hole, by the edge and edge to edge.

    The cleco fasteners are spring loaded temporary rivets. Drill a #30 (3.2 mm) hole through both sheets, compress a cleco in the pliers, push it in and release. It pulls the sheets together and holds them until you take it out again.

    The side grip clamps use the same pliers and need no hole. Compress the pliers to open the jaws, set the clamp over the panel edge or flange, and release. The five copper clamps open to 1/2" for two or three sheets, the five brass clamps open to 3/4" for thicker stacks, and both grip without marking or overtightening.

    The butt welding clamps hold two panels edge to edge and level for a butt joint. Slide one over both edges, wind it closed until the faces sit flush, tack between the clamps, then remove them and finish the weld. Everything in the kit is reusable.

    Anwendung

    Cleco Fasteners

    1. Position the panels - Place one panel over the other where you want to join them.
    2. Drill the hole - At each fastening point, drill through both panels with a drill bit that matches the cleco size.
    3. Load the cleco into the pliers - Squeeze the cleco pliers to compress a cleco fastener.
    4. Insert the cleco - Hold the pliers compressed, push the cleco into the hole, then release so it locks in place.
    5. Repeat along the joint - Continue drilling and inserting clecos at the required spacing until the panels are held.
    6. Remove when finished - Compress the cleco with the pliers and pull it out of the hole.

    Side Grip Clamps

    1. Align the panels - Place the panels edge to edge in the position you want to hold.
    2. Load the clamp into the pliers - Squeeze the cleco pliers to compress a side grip clamp.
    3. Attach the clamp - Position the jaws across both panel edges, then release the pliers so the clamp grips.
    4. Remove when finished - Compress the clamp with the pliers and lift it off.

    Butt Welding Clamps

    1. Fit the clamp - Slide the butt welding clamp over the edges of both panels so the faces sit level.
    2. Tighten - Wind the clamp closed until the panels are flush and cannot move.
    3. Tack and remove - Tack weld between the clamps, remove them, then finish the weld.
