Momentive SNAPSIL RTV106 is a one-component, paste-consistency high temperature silicone adhesive sealant. It cures to a resilient silicone rubber on exposure to atmospheric moisture at room temperature, releasing acetic acid vapour. Momentive lists it for sealing heating elements, gasketing, electrical insulation and other bonding and sealing where parts must perform at high temperatures.

  • Bonds without primer to many clean surfaces, typically including many metals, glass, ceramic, silicone rubber and some rigid plastics
  • Can be applied to vertical and overhead surfaces
  • Resistant to weathering, ozone and chemicals, with electrical insulation properties
  • Do not use in sections thicker than 6 mm (1/4 in.)
  • Not for delicate electrical or electronic uses where corrosion of copper, brass or other sensitive metals is undesirable
